Meet your STA+ Representatives

Welcome to the staff page of the Student Technology Assistance Plus (STA+) program.  Our representatives are devoted to helping you become more technologically independent.  We are here to help you clear some of the hurdles of technology and to help you become more aware of what is possible.  “What do you want to be able to do?” is the question we will be asking all year.  Let us know what it is you want to accomplish and we will see if there is a way to make it happen.

We may learn a few things about technology, too!

Ron Ellis, Ph.D. - Ron is the Director of Instructional Technology. He oversees the operation and training Instructional Technology including the WebCt, and e-College.

Cliff Neeley is the Graceland Media Services Coordinator. Cliff  is in charge of the management of the Audio Visual needs of the Campus and in charge of the STA+ Group

Megan Neeley. She is one of the only US born and raised on the STA+ team in a long time. She is a Health major and plans on being a Masseur someday. Everyone should have a Masseur in the family. No, she does not provide that service with STA+ she is with us because of her vast knowledge of computers and AV equipment she learned from her Daddy. That would be me if you had not already guessed it. She is currently working for us during the Summer of 2007, and we are not sure about the Fall of 07 yet.

Rinor Sadiku - He comes from Prishtina, Kosovo. He is Sophomore, majoring in Computer Science and Information Technology. He is member of ACM club (Association of Computing Machinery). He also has been active on programming and robotics contests. Rinor works at STA+ since his first semester Fall 2006.

Anne Rajbhandari

Arun Poddar :

My Name is Arume Ighoroje and I am from Delta State Nigeria. I am a junior at graceland majoring in business and economics. I decided to work for STA plus because I think there is a lot to learn and have worked since fall 07. I have so many hobbies but like dancing and singing the most. In my free time I watch CSI Las Vegas.

Gezim Maloku

My name is John Marshall.  I'm from a small town called Clearfield, IA.  I went to high school in Mt. Ayr, IA.  I attended Northwest Missouri State University before coming to Graceland University.  My major is Biology.  I plan on attending Vet school after I leave Graceland.

My name is Donath Thapa. I am from Nepal. I came to the USA and started my undergraduate education in Graceland University from Fall of 2007 as a freshman. Currently I am planning to get a degree in health care administration. I have always found a strange attraction to computers and electronics. I used to do video editing for my mountain biking club back in my high school among many other things. I like to spend my free time playing guitar and video games. I like outdoor activities as well. I used to play basketball for my high school.

???? Frequently Asked Questions ????

What do we do?

We provide training one-on-one or in groups for all Microsoft Office applications and related software.  Training for PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook is what we do best.  We also train people how to electronically scan photographs and incorporate graphics into Web pages or PowerPoint presentations. We help faculty create and maintain their on-line course material through WebCT.  We help faculty learn how to use their new computers more productively.  We help faculty, students and staff learn how to use the available technology to become more efficient and creative.  It is also our job to perform Audio Visual (AV) setups and training for faculty, students and staff.  We move AV equipment around campus when needed.

Welcome To Graceland University's Instructional Technology Services and STA+
Instructional Technology Services'
mission is to enhance the educational experience of Graceland University students by providing leadership, support and quality customer services to the faculty, staff students and administration through effective implementation of Audio/Visual services and computer software training and troubleshooting.

What is the STA+ Program?

STA+ stands for Student Technology Assistance Plus. We are a group of student assignees dedicated to helping faculty, students and staff in their technology and Audio Visual needs.  We have devoted our lives to the training of technology to those who wish to listen.  Our big question is, “What do you want to be able to do?” and we seriously want to be able to help you become more self-sufficient in the world of technology.

What is GEMS?

GEMS stands for Graceland Educational Media Services. GEMS is a division of STA+. This office is responsible for the Educational Media Services equipment on Graceland Campus. Cliff Neeley and the STA+ Group are here to meet your Media Services needs. In other words, we are here to ask the same question as above, "What do you want to be able to do?" in the way of Audio Visual presentations. We have the equipment for your use and will deliver, set up, and train you in how to use it. It is our interest to see you succeed in having a quality presentation. Follow the link above for more information about GEMS.
